Exploring: Hampstead Heath & Primrose Hill / London (English)

Hello,

a couple of weeks ago a friend of mine and myself went to London with the intention
to explore some parts of the city, which we haven`t seen before.
Inspired by some photos we went to the north of London or to be more precisely to Hampstead Heath and Primrose Hill.
Both of these districts are well-known for their viewpoints from which you can enjoy
a magnificent view over the London Skyline.
Beyond that, Primrose Hill is popular for its colourful houses.

In my opinion the buildings and particularly the doors were indeed really pretty,
whereas I was a bit disappointed with the view from the Parliament Hill.
You do have a great outlook on London but the skyline is far away
and as it was a bit foggy at this day, the view was even worse.

We then went to the Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill, which was just about to close
but there were still lots of people around and a pleasant atmosphere.

All in all it was a great day. We were quite exhausted in the evening as we walked
a lot but because of the beautiful architecture and other amazing things we saw,
it was defintely worth it.

By the way, til this day I had never really realized how noisey and busy St Albans
and of course London actually are.
Therefore, it was so good to wander around in the morning, while everybody else
seemed to be still asleep and with the sunshine on our face.

See you soon.

Best wishes.

Mareike
